A tour of SLBounty

30 July 2008

Update: SLBounty.com no longer exists. See SLBounty is no more for details.

SLBounty is an online marketplace for getting custom Second Life stuff built. We created the service to enable residents who want Second Life things done to collaborate with those who have the skills to supply them.

The process for facilitating this can be summarised as follows:

Take a virtual tour of SLBounty.com, click any image below.

Tom (requester) creates a new job request – Make me a tuxedo. The job is listed on the home page, you can filter, sort and search for jobs of interest to you.Leon (potential supplier) looks at the job details screen. Here he can see the Tom’s profile and ask him a question.Leon decides he can make the tuxedo and submits a tender.Tom sees that Leon has made a tender and goes to the workspace to finalise a potential agreement.Tom can also see all his jobs and whether they have tenders in the my slbounty page.Tom and Leon’s workspace for this job is where the job workflow takes place.Once Tom and Leon have reviewed the agreement they both agree the details to proceed.Back in the workspace Tom can now accept the tender if he wishes, he does. After Tom accepts the tender he needs to Pay-In-World. He clicks the pay in-world link thattakes him to the Find a Kiosk page, where he can teleport to the nearest Second Life location. After Tom logs in to Second Life he sees the SLBounty Kiosk. When Tom left-clicks the kiosk it confirms the details and asks Tom to right-click the Kiosk to pay. When Tom right-clicks the kiosk a fast pay box appears with the amount owing.Lastly, Tom is presented with a link back to the full Agreement.Back on the website Tom can now view the full agreement.Tom’s profile screen where he can change his email address, password, profile picture etc.The SLBounty Feedback page, similar to feedback pages for jobs etc.
